High-quality

Each delegated strategy relies on a conviction-driven management, coupled with rigorous risk management. Through its Luxembourg-regulated SICAV, ABN AMRO Funds (AAF), ABN AMRO Investment Solutions provides access to high-quality and sometimes little-known external experts. The SICAV ABN AMRO Funds has numerous subfunds delegated to top performing external managers specialised in different asset classes, geographic regions and management styles.

A highly disciplined selection process

The selection process is used for both external fund selection and mandate creation. It relies on the quality of our qualitative analysts’ network and on an in-depth analysis of external strategies. This allows us to capture the best market ideas as well as strategies that are difficult to access in Europe.

The research team comprises 12 senior analysts who are specialised by asset classes and geographical zones. It is backed up by a quantitative research team to help identifying the best portfolio managers in a "no limit" universe. The operational due diligence team then conducts an in-depth analysis of the investment company.

The 4 steps of the selection process:

  1. Pre-selection of eligible strategies
  2. Strategy analysis
  3. Investment company analysis
  4. Collegial assessment
